China Responds to Elon Musk on Taiwan Issue

The official representative of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mao Ning, responded to remarks made by American entrepreneur and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, stating that the Taiwan issue is an internal affair of China.

According to the diplomat, China will continue to adhere to the policy of peaceful reunification of the country. “First and foremost, the Taiwan issue is an internal matter of China. China's stance on the Taiwan issue is consistent and clear. We are committed to the basic path of peaceful reunification of the country based on the principle of 'one country, two systems,'” he explained.

He added that China will resolutely put an end to attempts to separate Taiwan and will continue to protect its national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
