Scholz on the Use of Nuclear Weapons
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz does not share Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's opinion on the necessity of launching a "preventive strike" against Russia. This was reported by РИА Новости, referencing statements made by Wolfgang Buechner, deputy spokesperson for the German government.
"The Chancellor is clearly opposed to the use of nuclear weapons," he stated in response to questions from journalists.
The official representative of the UN Secretary-General, Stephane Dujarric, also did not support the Ukrainian leader, saying that even discussions about a nuclear conflict are unacceptable.
