Record Progress: Armenia Surpasses Georgia and Azerbaijan in Postal Service Quality
The Universal Postal Union has published its annual report. The publication reveals that Armenia has made significant progress in the quality of postal services, surpassing Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Armenia ranks 48th, while Georgia is in 58th place and Azerbaijan is 68th. The report notes that some countries are advancing faster than others. Armenia, Egypt, and Estonia have achieved a record progress in the 2021 Integrated Index for Postal Development (2IPD).
The 2021 Integrated Index for Postal Development (2IPD) provides the most comprehensive view of current global postal development.
Based on a unique combination of postal big data and statistics available from 172 countries, it presents a picture of the asymmetric state of postal development worldwide.
Analyzing the evaluations of the 2IPD, we grouped and classified countries into 10 levels of postal development. Clustering analysis shows that a relatively large number of countries are classified in low or below-average groups of postal connectivity development, highlighting significant gaps in the development of postal services between nations.
