The European Union's representation in Yerevan has released a statement summarizing the results of a quadrilateral meeting. Below we present the statement.

"Within the framework of the first summit of the European Political Community, on October 6, 2022, in Prague, at the invitation of the President of the French Republic and the President of the European Council, the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia met. Armenia and Azerbaijan reaffirmed their commitment to the Charter of the United Nations and the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1991, according to which they mutually recognize each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty. They confirmed that this can serve as a basis for the work of border demarcation commissions, and that the next meeting of the border commissions will take place in Brussels before the end of October.

Armenia has agreed to facilitate the deployment of the EU civilian mission along the border with Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan has agreed to cooperate with this mission as far as it is relevant.

The mission's work will commence in October and will last for a maximum of two months. The purpose of this mission is to build trust and contribute to the activities of the border commissions through reporting.

It should be noted that the day before, a meeting took place in Prague between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, French President Emmanuel Macron, and President of the European Council Charles Michel. As a result of the meeting, a quadrilateral statement was published."
