Alen Simonian to Travel to Moscow with Large Delegation
According to the 'Hraparak' newspaper, National Assembly President Alen Simonian has decided to travel to Moscow with a rather large delegation. It is noteworthy that he has been invited to Moscow for an official visit from October 9-12. Many are surprised by the invitation, especially since Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is scheduled to visit Saint Petersburg on October 7 to participate in an unofficial meeting of the leaders of the CIS countries.
Alen Simonian will be traveling to Moscow with a 16-member delegation, half of whom are legislators, while the other half are from his staff. The Speaker of the National Assembly has chosen to take lawmakers Vahe Ghalumyan, Gurgen Arsenyan, Hayk Sargsyan, Babken Tunyan, Alexey Sandikov, former teacher Marina Ghazaryan, and Taron Margaryan from 'Honorable' party, who was once compelled by Simonian to submit his resignation as Yerevan's mayor.
