Zakharova Discusses Video of Armenian POWs Execution

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, addressed the execution of Armenian prisoners of war by Azerbaijani soldiers and the discovery of a "mass grave" of Azerbaijanis during a press briefing.

“Unfortunately, such information is periodically received, which is raised by both sides. They also pass this information to us. All such cases require immediate, detailed, and comprehensive analysis, including the presence of signs of war crimes,” the diplomat said.

She emphasized that the parties should adhere to all points of the trilateral agreements between the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, including in resolving remaining issues. Zakharova noted that this pertains to both the exchange of prisoners of war and the clarification of the fates of the missing, as well as the protection of the cultural and humanitarian heritage of the region.
