What Will Happen to the Vehicles of Those Who Left Russia and Left Their Transport at the Border?
Changes need to be made to the legislation that will allow for the confiscation of vehicles from citizens who have left Russia and left their means of transport at the border. This was stated to RIA Novosti by Oleg Morozov, a member of the United Russia party and a State Duma deputy. Earlier, State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin announced that Russia is compiling lists of those who leave the country and suggested considering the fate of the vehicles they left at the borders.
“We urgently need to change the law to allow decisions to be made regarding the transfer of property to the state. This concerns the vehicles whose owners do not return for their property one month after leaving the border,” Morozov said.
He suggested that the owner of the abandoned vehicle should personally present their rights to the vehicle. According to Morozov, such measures would allow for the confiscation of abandoned vehicles.
