"In the Caucasus, there is an aggressor, Azerbaijan, and a victim of aggression, Armenia. Mrs. von der Leyen, who recently signed a gas deal with Baku, is confused, but we should not fear this aggression and the accompanying war crimes," stated Emmanuel Morel, a Member of the European Parliament.

It is worth noting that earlier, a symbolic action was held in the European Parliament to express support for Armenia.

Belgian politician and businessman, Thomas Vandendrieshen, wrote on Facebook: "Christian Armenia is under brutal attack from Islamic Azerbaijan. The EU has ignored this since Mrs. von der Leyen requested gas from the Azerbaijanis."
