How Many Bodies or Remains Have Yet to be Identified? Minister Responds
On September 13, following the outbreak of war unleashed by Azerbaijan, there is currently no need to send the bodies or remains of Armenian servicemen abroad. "At this moment, we do not need to work with foreign medical centers or research institutions; our technical capabilities are fully sufficient to conduct the necessary investigations. Some investigations are still ongoing, and we will have all the results soon," Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan said during a conversation with reporters at the government.
The minister declined to provide a number for how many bodies or remains have yet to be identified. "There are investigations that are still underway, we have not completed the entire investigative process yet," Avanesyan noted. She stated that DNA testing is being conducted to obtain a complete picture.
