Poland Discusses Possible Deployment of Nuclear Weapons with the US

In an interview with "Gazeta Polska", Polish President Andrzej Duda revealed that Poland has discussed the possibility of deploying nuclear weapons on its territory with the United States. He stated that Poland is not a nuclear power and there are no signs that it will acquire atomic weapons in the near future.

Instead, Poland has the opportunity to participate in the "Nuclear Sharing" program. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization's (NATO) concept of nuclear deterrence allows member countries without their own nuclear weapons to be involved in planning the use of NATO's atomic arsenal.
