Government Prepares the Armenian People for New Fatal Concessions: Statement from the 'Armenia' Faction

Hiding under the name of 'Reliable Source,' the current government is preparing the Armenian people for new fatal concessions while simultaneously encouraging anti-Russian hysteria, attempting to blame others for its failures. This statement was released by the National Assembly's 'Armenia' faction.

The statement reads: 'Dear compatriots, Azerbaijan, taking advantage of the criminal inaction and mendicant policies of the current authorities of Armenia, is encroaching upon our country. Territories of the Republic of Armenia are occupied, and the rights to life of our citizens are endangered.'

'At the same time, we note the complete failure of the current authorities in foreign policy, military construction, and state administration, which had promised a 'peaceful era' and misled people into voting with this promise. All of this points to Nikol Pashinyan's illegitimacy.'

'We find unacceptable Nikol Pashinyan's statements that contradict the Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Armenia. We positively assess the position reaffirmed at the meeting of the Security Council of the Republic of Artsakh regarding the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, namely, the full and unconditional recognition of the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination and the results of its realization.'

'We condemn the internal and external policies of the authorities, which ultimately collapse the fragile security system that still allows the Armenian state to exist.'

'Hiding under the name of 'Reliable Source,' the current government is preparing the Armenian people for new fatal concessions and simultaneously encouraging anti-Russian hysteria, trying to blame others for its failures. And this is while the Russian peacekeepers are ensuring the security of Artsakh and the rights to life of Armenians in Artsakh, while a Russian military base is stationed on the Armenian-Turkish border.'

'Our people have numerous questions regarding the behavior of the Russian Federation and the CSTO amidst the developments surrounding Armenia and Artsakh, but nonetheless, the policy carried out in the name of 'Reliable Source' and its propaganda tools aimed at creating an anti-Russian atmosphere in Armenia and turning our country into a theatre of geopolitical sharp conflict is unacceptable.'

'The adventurous policy of the current government to turn Armenia into a pawn in the confrontation between Russia and the West could have devastating consequences for our country.'

'We are convinced that only through a change of government can we restore strategic, allied, and friendly relations with Russia and Iran, as well as become a reliable, predictable, and respected partner in relations with the West.'

'Dear compatriots, the provisions specified in the Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Armenia cannot be subject to negotiation. The territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia must be defended by all means. We are in favor of finding rules for coexistence with neighbors and establishing relations, but they should not come at the expense of our security and dignity. We oppose the implementation of interstate communication with a corridor logic.'

'Real and dignified peace can only be ensured through effective internal and external policies of the state, a professional team, the restoration of the army, public unity and solidarity, and new negotiations conducted by Armenia.'
