Serzh Sargsyan's Office Issues Statement
The comments made by former President Levon Ter-Petrosyan regarding the Zurich protocols and a possible Armenian-Turkish reconciliation agreement are unacceptable, according to a statement from the office of the third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan.
"In response to the initiative of a meeting between former Presidents of Armenia and Artsakh at the invitation of His Holiness the Catholicos at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the views expressed by the first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan regarding the effectiveness of meetings will be published as a result of discussions with other interested parties participating in the meeting.
As for Levon Ter-Petrosyan's statements on the Zurich protocols and the potential Armenian-Turkish reconciliation agreement, they are unacceptable, and the comparison of these processes is absolutely inappropriate. Everyone will be convinced of this when the document negotiated by the current Armenian government with the Turkish side is officially released," the statement added.
