Israel's Defense Minister Discusses Military Cooperation Developments with Azerbaijan

Israel's Defense Minister Benny Gantz held talks in Baku on October 3. According to Azerbaijani media reports, during a meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, "exchanges of opinions took place regarding the long-standing military-technical cooperation between the two countries and prospects in that field." Gantz also engaged in discussions with his Azerbaijani counterpart Zakir Hasanov. As reported by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, Hasanov highlighted the high level of bilateral partnership, which, according to him, "plays a significant role not only in the development of Azerbaijan and Israel but also in ensuring security throughout the entire region."

Gantz emphasized the importance of further developing bilateral military cooperation. It was stated that the parties discussed prospects for military and military-technical cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel, organizing working meetings at the level of military specialists, and other issues of mutual interest.
