Donald Trump Sues CNN for Calling Him 'Racist,' 'Russian Lackey,' 'Insurrectionist,' and 'Hitler'

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit against CNN. The complaint, which was published on the website of the Southern District Court of Florida, states that the network has attached scandalous, false, and defamatory labels to the plaintiff, such as 'racist,' 'Russian lackey,' 'insurrectionist,' and 'Hitler.'

'The plaintiff, President Donald J. Trump, has long criticized the defendant Cable News Network Inc. (CNN) not because CNN is poor in news coverage, but because CNN tends to create 'fake news.' The network's campaign of defamation and insult against the plaintiff has only intensified in recent months, as CNN fears that the plaintiff may run for president,' the document reads.

Trump is seeking $475 million in damages from the network.
