Azerbaijani Soldiers Who Infiltrated Armenia Returned Unhindered to Azerbaijan
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that for the past two days, Armenian society has been shocked by a video published by Azerbaijan showing the execution of Armenian prisoners of war. In this context, "Zhoghovurd" again recalled the group that infiltrated Jermuk, about which statements were made by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Edward Asryan, and the President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan.
During his visit to Jermuk with diplomatic representatives on September 16, the Chief of Staff noted, "The infiltrations have been carried out by groups, squads, some of which are under the direct control of our units, also besieged. We are waiting for their supplies to run out so they can return on their own."
"Zhoghovurd" reached out to the Ministry of Defense of Armenia to find out whether that group had left or not, but we did not receive a response. We even tried to get an answer from Chief of Staff Edward Asryan, but that was also unsuccessful.
Highly reliable sources close to the Armenian Ministry of Defense inform "Zhoghovurd" that the Azerbaijani armed group that infiltrated Armenia has safely returned to Azerbaijan during these days. Thus, it turns out that Azerbaijan continues to capture and execute our soldiers right in our sovereign territory, while the Armenian side allows Azerbaijani soldiers, who are surrounded by us, to return unimpeded to Azerbaijan.
In the end, we could have captured them as well near Jermuk and exchanged them for our captives, but the Armenian armed forces not only did not eliminate the enemy who infiltrated our territory, as required by the Armenian military code, but allowed them to return to their country unhindered. What is this, if not a state crime?"
