2-Year-Old Injures Hand After Inserting It into Electric Meat Grinder

During the preparation of preserves at home, a 2-year-old child injured their hand by inserting it into an electric meat grinder. This information was reported by the "St. Astvatsamayr" Medical Center.

"With the efforts of the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees and doctors, the metal part of the grinder was removed, after which surgery was performed by the center's plastic surgeons," the statement said.

The child suffered amputation of the wrist and fingers, as well as soft tissue damage. Only one finger was able to be restored through surgery. Currently, doctors are assessing the child's condition as stable.
