Shoigu Responds to Questions About Mobilization of Women and Students

The Russian Minister of Defense, Sergey Shoigu, has announced that women will not be conscripted as part of the partial mobilization in Russia. According to RIA Novosti, the minister made this statement during a meeting with reporters, adding that students from state universities will also not be mobilized.

“No, this has not been part of future plans; we do not intend to conscript women,” Shoigu told journalists in response to a relevant question.

Shoigu verified the preparations and conditions for the accommodation of mobilized citizens alongside the Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, and the Governor of the Moscow Region, Andrey Vorobyov.
