Pashinyan Holds Meeting in Government: What Was Discussed
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired the second meeting of the Investment Committee at the government. This was reported by the government.
The first agenda item was the investment program for the establishment of a warning system for dangerous hydro-meteorological phenomena. It was reported that the project's cost is 3.68 billion drams, with plans to acquire three Doppler radar units. As a result, it is expected that dangerous weather phenomena will be forecasted with high accuracy, including heavy rainfall, hail, storm winds, thunderstorms, and tornadoes.
The next project related to the modernization of the Republican Scientific Medical Library, with a value of 589 million drams. It is proposed to renovate the administrative building of the library, construct a new annex, and acquire technical equipment and software. It is anticipated that this will enhance accessibility and affordability of postgraduate and continuing education, reduce the consequences of medical errors, and increase patient trust in doctors' knowledge.
Following that, the proposal to hand over the management of “Hayavtokayan” LLC on a concession basis was presented. This project is estimated at 5 billion 848 million drams. The program includes the reconstruction of 26 bus station complexes currently owned by “Hayavtokayan” LLC and the construction of a new bus station in Yerevan. It is expected that the quality of bus station services will improve through private management.
A focused discussion took place regarding the aforementioned investment projects, particularly about their effectiveness, evaluation of investment values, expected benefits, and other related issues. Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the importance of effectively implementing investment capital programs in various sectors, which will contribute to the development of communities, improve the quality of services provided to citizens, and address other issues.
