Azerbaijan's Ambassador in Germany Quotes Nikol Pashinyan; Zahrabyan Reminds

The Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Germany has shared a photo of Nikol Pashinyan on his social media page, highlighting a segment from yesterday's interview where Pashinyan stated, "No country is ready to recognize the independence of Karabakh, and no country is ready to accept Karabakh as part of Armenia. We must accept this fact." The ambassador added that he agrees with this opinion, stating that "Karabakh is Azerbaijan."

Former MP Naira Zahrabyan also addressed the topic, presenting the ambassador's post and recalling that back in 2016, Aliyev admitted that he was being pressured behind closed doors to recognize the independence of Artsakh.

Regarding the segment of the interview, it is important to note that Pashinyan mentioned that the mediators involved in the Karabakh issue—the United States, Russia, and the European Union—have their own understandings of the resolution of the problem.

"None of the international actors or countries are ready to recognize the independence of Karabakh, nor are they ready to recognize Karabakh as part of Armenia. In essence, they have perhaps, a bit euphemistically, a bit diplomatically, or sometimes very directly stated this. And we must confront this fact," Pashinyan said, adding that perhaps this was something he should have addressed in the past, possibly before the war.
