Criminal Proceedings Initiated Over the Murder of Three Soldiers in Jermuk by the Adversary
The Military Investigative Main Department of the RA Investigative Committee has initiated criminal proceedings under the first part of Article 155, parts 2, 7, and 15 of the RA Criminal Code regarding the murder of three soldiers as a result of shelling by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, as reported by the RA Investigative Committee.
According to preliminary information, on September 28, 2022, around 20:00, one of the positions located in Jermuk was subjected to artillery fire by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, resulting in fatal shrapnel injuries to Lieutenant Colonel Nahapet Nveri Margaryan, the commander of the infantry battalion of Military Unit N, Sergeant Hovhannes Paylaki Sukiasyan, a contractual serviceman and the deputy commander of the infantry battalion, and Private Edward Haiki Hovhannisyan, a conscripted soldier.
An investigation is underway.
