Why President Khachaturyan Decided to Take a Photo at Queen Elizabeth II's Farewell Ceremony

Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan has established a new protocol for the British royal family, according to which taking photos near the coffin of a deceased king or queen is neither normatively nor ethically prohibited during mourning periods.

The newspaper 'Jhoghovurd' sent an inquiry to the Presidential Administration asking why President Khachaturyan decided to take a photo near Queen Elizabeth II's coffin during her farewell ceremony. This incident concerning the Armenian President received criticism from all reputable international media outlets.

In response to our inquiry, the Presidential Administration stated: "There was no breach of protocol during the mentioned events." This raises the question: several influential media outlets criticize Vahagn Khachaturyan's unacceptable behavior near the deceased's remains, pointing out that a notice prohibiting photography was displayed, while officials from Armenia counter that no violations occurred and that nothing extraordinary transpired.

It can be inferred that in the future, even positioning oneself for photos might be acceptable during all mourning ceremonies.
