What Support Will Families of Those Injured, Killed, and Missing From Azerbaijan's Attack Receive?

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia has developed and is circulating two projects aimed at providing support to soldiers injured during the large-scale aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan on September 13, 2022, as well as to the families of civilian casualties and the missing. This was stated in an interview with Armenpress by the spokesperson for the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Zara Manucharyan.

According to her, the first program will provide financial assistance to those soldiers who were injured or faced mental health issues during this period and received medical assistance in healthcare facilities, and who do not have a disability group or have a third group disability. The social support will be provided as a one-time payment of 500,000 drams for each beneficiary.

The other program, which is also being circulated, aims to provide social support to the families of civilian casualties and the missing as a result of the Azerbaijani aggression on September 13, 2022. “If the project is approved, families of deceased civilians will receive a one-time payment of 5 million drams, and families of missing civilians will receive social assistance of 300,000 drams per month,” noted the spokesperson.

The projects are currently being circulated among relevant government agencies and will be presented to the Prime Minister’s Office after summarization.
