VIDEO: What Kocharian Proposes in the Created Difficult Situation

The second president of Armenia and leader of the 'Armenia' alliance, Robert Kocharian, outlined three main points regarding solutions and difficult decisions in the current situation: public consolidation, the army, and the architecture of international cooperation.

According to Kocharian, Syunik is of interest to Iran in the region, and therefore work should be done in that direction. He noted that almost nothing has been done in this regard.

“The first step to get out of the created situation is public consolidation; without this, nothing will succeed. What ideas are being voiced now - let’s unite to make difficult decisions. Consolidation is carried out to lead the people to victory; there is no need for consolidation for capitulation, on the contrary, deconsolidation is required for capitulation. Do you understand, I don’t comprehend whether this confusion of simple truths is done unconsciously or intentionally. Capitulation creates a sense of powerlessness; perhaps this is what some people calling for consolidation for capitulation need today,” said Robert Kocharian.

“To solve the problem, you must first diagnose and neutralize it. Now we are being told to unite around the problem. What is our goal, to save Armenia or to save Armenia's problem? And this is an absolute truth not only in medicine; there is a tumor - it must be removed. Consolidation should be for purposes that require the will of the people. A change of government is an imperative demand,” Kocharian added.

Kocharian considers the second crucial step to be strengthening the army, arming and prioritizing it. He also spoke about the army. He characterized the proposal to serve for 4-5 months in exchange for 24 million drams as destructive.

The third important point is the architecture of international cooperation. According to Kocharian, Syunik is interesting for Iran in the region, and therefore work should be done in that direction, noting that almost nothing has been done in that regard. Addressing the discussions about leaving the CSTO, he stated that it would be another stupidity. He believes it is possible to convince Russia that Armenia should cooperate with Iran and to discuss this also with the USA.
