The Issue is Serious at the NSS: Clarifying How Kurdish Militants Ended Up in Turkey
According to exclusive information from the newspaper "Zhoghvorud", the National Security Service is set to open a criminal investigation, and the issue has been taken quite seriously. They aim to determine how two Kurdish militants, Atilla Chichak and Huseyin Yildirim, found themselves in Turkey.
It is worth noting that both Atilla Chichak and Huseyin Yildirim were accused of crossing the Araks River and illegally breaching the state border of the Republic of Armenia on August 16, 2021, without the right to acquire arms and ammunition. Subsequently, the RA Court of Appeals sentenced them to five years in prison; however, the sentence was conditionally not enforced, and a probation period of three years was set.
The Kurdish militants were released directly from the courtroom. This means they were in freedom, and after being free for 7 months, yesterday, Gegham Manukyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "Armenia" faction, raised alarm about their situation, stating that the Kurdish militants, who had been in Armenia and fought against Turkish oppression, are currently in Turkey.
How they ended up in Turkey remains a mystery that we hope the National Security Service will unveil. Previously, the Ministry of Justice had also denied their extradition. Thus, it appears that state authorities are unaware of the case involving Kurds who have appeared in Turkey from our country.
