State of Emergency May Be Imposed at the Border with Georgia near North Ossetia
A state of emergency may be imposed at the border between North Ossetia and Georgia. This was announced by the head of the republic, Sergey Menyailo, during a broadcast on Solovyov Live.
The reason for this decision is the large number of people at the border. Currently, the leadership is assessing the situation, and all those in need will receive medical assistance.
Menyailo also did not rule out the opening of a temporary deployment point near the border, as there are women and children waiting in line.
According to the latest information, 5,500 vehicles are waiting to cross the Russian-Georgian border in North Ossetia, of which 3,600 are light passenger cars.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania announced that citizens attempting to leave Russia via the Upper Lars crossing were allowed to cross the border on foot. Additionally, a mobilization point for military conscription will be established there shortly.
By decree of the President of the Russian Federation, a partial mobilization was announced in Russia on September 21.
