Neither Side Has the Right to Supply Weapons to Ukraine or Russia: Iran's Foreign Ministry
Iran does not support either side in the Ukraine conflict and opposes the supply of foreign weapons to both Kyiv and Moscow. This was stated by Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in an interview with Al-Monitor published on September 26, as reported by Armenpress.
“We have a defense cooperation agreement with Russia, but we do not support either side, as this would lead to the continuation of the conflict. We vehemently oppose any war, whether in Ukraine, Yemen, or Palestine. Therefore, we are making efforts to establish peace and a ceasefire in Ukraine,” the minister said in response to a question about whether Iran supplies its drones to Russia.
“We believe that neither side has the right to supply weapons to Ukraine or Russia. We intend to continue supporting dialogue and finding a solution to this crisis through negotiations,” the Iranian Foreign Minister noted, as reported by TASS.
