Childcare Benefits for All Mothers with Children Under 2 Years Old Announced

The Armenian National Assembly's Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs discussed today proposed amendments to the law on state benefits. Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs David Khachatryan announced that in order to ensure a stable increase in birth rates in the coming years and to create conditions for a significant increase in the population in the long term, it is planned that starting January 1, 2023, childcare benefits will be provided to all mothers with children under the age of two, regardless of their registration or place of residence.

According to him, 'In this case, state support will be available to all parents engaged in the care of children under 2 years old.'
