France is calling for the resumption of negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This was announced in a relevant statement from the Élysée Palace.

It was noted that during a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that the situation at the border remains extremely critical.

“The use of force cannot be a solution for either side, and dialogue must be resumed without delay,” he emphasized. It has been reported that Macron plans to have a phone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in the coming hours.
