Japan Imposes New Sanctions Against Russia: What Are They?
The Japanese government has imposed new sanctions against 20 Russian companies and one individual, as well as prohibiting the export of certain goods to Russia. This was reported by RIA Novosti. The sanctions have been enacted in response to the situation in Ukraine.
"As a contribution to international efforts related to the ongoing situation in Ukraine and considering the measures taken by leading countries, our country is implementing measures aimed at prohibiting exports and other transactions with certain companies. Starting from September 26, our country will impose a ban on exports and other transactions with 21 organizations," the statement said.
Additionally, Japan has also prohibited the export of goods to the Russian Federation that could be related to the production of chemical weapons.
