What Did Nikol Pashinyan and Charles Michel Discuss

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Charles Michel, the President of the European Council, in New York. This was reported by the information and public relations department of the Prime Minister's Office.

The Prime Minister addressed the large-scale aggression undertaken by Azerbaijan against the sovereign territory of Armenia, resulting in the occupation of Armenian sovereign areas. He emphasized the need for clear and targeted evaluations from the international community, including the European Union, regarding Azerbaijani aggression and the immediate withdrawal of Azerbaijani units from Armenian sovereign territory.

The Prime Minister also referred to the gross violations of international humanitarian law by Azerbaijan and the targeting of civilian populations and infrastructures.

Charles Michel expressed his concerns regarding the ongoing tension along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and underscored the importance of resolving regional issues through peaceful negotiations. The President of the European Council reaffirmed his readiness to contribute to dialogue and peace.
