Charles Michel Supports Humanitarian Visas for Russian Citizens Avoiding Mobilization
The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, has expressed his support for granting humanitarian visas to Russian citizens wishing to avoid mobilization. He discussed this idea in an interview with Politico.
"I agree with the idea that we need to cooperate and coordinate very quickly, as this partial mobilization is a new fact," Michel's statement was quoted by the publication.
The politician also added that he is ready to consult with his EU counterparts on how to implement this initiative.
It is worth noting that just days ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on partial mobilization.
