“Who pays the piper calls the tune”: Lukashenko on the West
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, stated that democracy and law in the West are an illusion and that everything is practically decided by money. This information was reported by RIA Novosti during his interaction with journalists.
“We thought there was democracy, English law, and courts there. There is no law at all. Whoever pays decides,” the Belarusian leader's words are quoted by the BelTA agency.
At the same time, Lukashenko explained that the West is different, and that “there is something in the West that we must definitely take.”
