Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced a partial mobilization in Russia. He stated that mobilization efforts will begin as of today.

“Only those citizens who are currently in reserve will be called to military service, primarily those who have served in the armed forces and possess specific military specialties and relevant experience. Those called up for military service will undergo additional military training without fail before being sent to units, taking into account the experience of special military operations,” he said.

Mobilized individuals participating in the special operation will receive payments and the status of contract service personnel.

It was previously reported that foreign nationals serving in the Russian army under contract would obtain Russian citizenship through a simplified process.
