Armenia Can Rely on France's Full Support, Macron Sends Message
French President Emmanuel Macron has sent a congratulatory message to Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan on the occasion of Armenia's Independence Day. In the message, he states: "Dear (handwritten addition) Mr. President, on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, I send you, as well as the friendly Armenian people, my wishes for peace, happiness, and prosperity. The friendship between our two countries is ancient and strong. We are developing exemplary cooperation in all areas, particularly referring to the bilateral economic roadmap we adopted and the ‘Ambitions for France-Armenia’ event held in Paris on March 9, which brought together local authorities, civil society, and economic actors to develop new projects.
Moreover, you know that Armenia can rely on France’s full support in its efforts to strengthen democracy and the rule of law. France is committed to continuing its efforts in favor of stability, peace, and prosperity in your region. France is actively supporting the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the resolution of issues related to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and its aftermath. France is also providing support for the European Union’s efforts to promote dialogue between the parties, while remaining fully committed to its role as a co-chair of the Minsk Group. In this regard, you can count on my personal commitment to the benefit of our peoples.
Please accept, Mr. President, my assurances of profound respect. My congratulations and regards, (handwritten addition) Emmanuel Macron."
