7 Magnitude Earthquake in Iran Felt in Armenia
A 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck 24 kilometers west of the city of Tasuji, Iran, with a depth of 10 kilometers. The seismic intensity in the epicentral zone reached 7 on the Richter scale. This information was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.
The earthquake was felt in the cities of Kapan, Sisian, and Meghri in the Syunik province with a strength of 4-5, in the city of Ararat in the Ararat province with a strength of 2-3, and in Yerevan and the city of Byureghavan in the Kotayk province with a strength of 2.
