Coffee Advertisers Cause Panic in Martuni
There are no saboteurs in the Martuni community of Gegharkunik Province; it is women advertising coffee. This was stated by Stepan Hakobyan, the head of the Martuni police department, in an interview with MediaHub.am.
He reported that yesterday residents had called the police, claiming that there were Azerbaijani saboteurs in the community. During the search operations, two local women were brought into the department.
“These women were conducting inquiries related to ‘Royal Armenia’ coffee in people’s homes,” Hakobyan said. According to him, it is surprising how quickly this information spread, as they received forty calls from citizens and quickly located the ‘suspicious women’.
“We have prepared an interview report with these women regarding what activities they have been engaged in and why they entered citizens' residences. They stated that they were merely engaged in advertising ‘Royal’ coffee,” Stepan Hakobyan explained.
It is worth mentioning that last night, the issue of Azerbaijani saboteurs being present in Martuni was actively discussed on social media. People were writing that suspicious individuals were coming to their homes under the pretext of conducting inquiries, but they were convinced that they were representatives of an enemy state. “We need to be cautious,” Martuni residents were widely expressing.
