VIDEO: Another Refereeing Incident Against Armenian Wrestlers in Serbia; Armenian Side Sends Protest Note

The Armenian Wrestling Federation is raising a protest note concerning the biased attitude of referees at the World Championship.

Currently, the Armenian freestyle wrestling team is participating in the World Championship in Serbia. Olympic participant and winner of the individual World Cup, Vazgen Tevanyan, competed in the 1/16 finals against American wrestler John Michael Diakomihalis. According to the federation, Tevanyan lost due to the referees' biased approach.

"After the medal was taken from Arman Andreasyan, now it was Vazgen Tevanyan's turn. The Korean referee on the mat not only deprived Vazgen Tevanyan of victory but also of a spot in the finals. The victory was awarded to the American representative," stated the federation in a released message.
