Pelosi's Statement Ahead of Armenia Visit

The visit of our congressional delegation to Armenia symbolizes the United States' steadfast commitment to a peaceful, prosperous, and democratic Armenia, as well as a stable and peaceful Caucasus region. This statement was released by the office of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ahead of her visit to Armenia.

“During our working meetings with government leaders, civil society representatives, and security officials, we will convey the U.S.’s determined and ongoing support as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group and a long-standing friend of Armenia for the lasting resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” Pelosi stated.

According to her, the delegation is looking forward to productive meetings that will continue to strengthen the partnership with Armenia and advance the interests of both countries in the region.

It is worth noting that news of Pelosi's visit to Armenia became known on September 15. During the visit from September 17 to 19, Pelosi will meet with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan, and other high-ranking officials.
