The Opponent is 4.5 Kilometers Away from Jermuk, Chief of General Staff

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Edward Asryan, stated during a meeting with heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Armenia that the opponent has achieved certain successes in the Jermuk area due to their actions.

“The opponent has penetrated into the sovereign territory of Armenia with a front width of 8.5 kilometers and a depth of up to 7.5 kilometers,” announced the Chief of General Staff.

He noted that the penetrations have been carried out by groups and squads of the Azerbaijani armed forces. “Certain groups and squads are under the direct control of our units, and they are also surrounded,” Asryan informed.

According to the Chief of Staff, at present, groups of the Azerbaijani armed unit are located 4.5 kilometers away from the outskirts of the city of Jermuk.

It is noteworthy that heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Armenia have arrived in Jermuk to familiarize themselves with the consequences of Azerbaijani military aggression.
