“Special Importance is Given to the CSTO Mission in Yerevan,” Says Sergey Kopirkin

The leading group of the CSTO mission continues its work in the Republic of Armenia, headed by the Chief of the Joint Staff, Anatoly Sidоров. According to “Armenpress,” citing the CSTO's Telegram channel, during the visit of the forward group of the CSTO mission to Armenia, the head of the CSTO Security Council, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, met with the head of the Russian FSB Border Guard Department in Armenia, Lieutenant General Roman Golubitsky.

A detailed discussion took place regarding the situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and measures aimed at its resolution.

On the same day, a meeting was held with the Russian Ambassador to Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin. The Russian ambassador noted that “special importance is given to the CSTO mission in Yerevan and expressed hope that the CSTO will play an important role in stabilizing the situation and taking steps to prevent escalation.”
