Video: Royal Guard Staff Member Faints Near Queen Elizabeth II's Coffin
At Westminster Palace in Great Britain, where the farewell ceremony for Queen Elizabeth II is taking place, a member of the royal guard fainted near the queen's coffin. This was reported by the Daily Mail.
The royal guard, who was monitoring the coffin, initially began to sway and then lost consciousness, falling to the ground. The live broadcast was interrupted for several minutes while police assisted the man.
The queen's coffin, placed on a raised platform known as a catafalque, is being monitored around the clock by the queen's guards, members of the royal guard, or staff from the Tower of London.
Westminster Palace will be open 24 hours a day until 6:30 AM on Monday, the day of the queen's funeral.
It is noteworthy that Queen Elizabeth II passed away at the age of 96 in her residence in Ballater, Scotland, on September 8.
