VIDEO: Kristine Poghosyan Settles the Score with Opposition MPs

“This is not the time to save Nikol; this is the time to save the homeland.” These were the words of Gegham Manukyan, the only opposition MP present in the National Assembly, from the Armenia Alliance, during his speech today. Following his remarks, a commotion erupted in the National Assembly as MPs began to insult one another.

Concluding his speech, Manukyan demanded the publication of the names of all the fallen, adding that among the casualties are citizens called up for political purposes during the tri-monthly gatherings.

According to reporters, tensions escalated in the hall after Manukyan's speech. Kristine Poghosyan was demanding accountability from Gegham Manukyan. Hakob Arshakyan declared a 30-minute break and attempted to escort Manukyan and opposition MP Agnesa Khomoyan out of the hall.
