The United States Played a Significant Role in the Ceasefire Agreement: Simonian
All international partners contributed to the ceasefire agreement, stated the Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonian in a conversation with journalists.
“The Russian Federation, France, and most importantly, the United States played a significant role in correcting the situation yesterday, which is very commendable,” said the Speaker.
It is noteworthy that as of 11:00 AM, no significant incidents have been recorded on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
Armen Grigoryan, the Secretary of Armenia's Security Council, indicated yesterday that due to the involvement of the international community, a ceasefire agreement has been successfully reached.
Recall that on September 13, starting at 00:05, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces began intense gunfire targeting Armenian positions in the directions of Goris, Sotk, and Jermuk using artillery and large-caliber firearms. The adversary also employed drones. Later, Azerbaijan used artillery in other directions as well. The number of casualties on the Armenian side stands at 105.
