Foreign Ministry Highlights Targeting of Journalists by Azerbaijan in Sotk

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia has condemned the targeting of journalists by Azerbaijan in Sotk. The spokesperson for the MFA, Vahan Hunanyan, stated on his Twitter microblog that the deliberate artillery fire directed at local and foreign journalists fulfilling their professional duties in Sotk is unacceptable.

“We draw the attention of the international community, specialized organizations protecting human rights and freedom of speech, to this attempt to violate the right to obtain information, which is aimed at obstructing the documentation and presentation of the consequences of Azerbaijan’s aggression to the international community,” wrote Hunanyan.

It is noteworthy that the adversary opened fire towards Soskt on September 14, while local and foreign media representatives were carrying out their professional activities there.
