Civilian Killed in Noravan
Yesterday, a civilian was killed as a result of enemy gunfire in the Noravan community of the Syunik region, the community leader Slavic Papyan reported to Sputnik Armenia.
“After noon yesterday, it was said that there was a ceasefire, and he thought it would be safe, so he went up to the upper part of the village. There are two theories: either he went after livestock, or some say he knew there were injured people up there and tried to help. The man was killed by a drone or an artillery strike,” Papyan said.
He informed that the deceased man was 30 years old and had four children. Papyan also mentioned that the night passed peacefully, and there are currently no gunshots.
On September 13, at 00:05, units of the Azerbaijani armed forces started intensive fire towards Armenian positions in the direction of Goris, Sotk, and Jermuk using artillery and large-caliber firearms. The adversary is also employing drones.
On September 14, Azerbaijan again shelled Jermuk and Verin Shorja, and later the fighting resumed in the Ishkhanasar area of Syunik region.
No significant incidents were reported along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border last night. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during a parliamentary Q&A that as of September 14, the Armenian side has suffered 105 casualties.
