Azerbaijan Gains Tactical Advantage Near Nerkhin Hand Village

Azerbaijan has made certain tactical advances towards Nerkhin Hand village in the Syunik region. This was stated in an interview with 'Pastinfo' by the Deputy Governor of Syunik, Nare Ghazaryan.

'They have not entered the village, but there are enemy positions very close to it. Women and children have been evacuated from Nerkhin Hand, but the men remain in the village, equipped with weapons to assist the Armed Forces if necessary,' Ghazaryan said.

According to the Deputy Governor, rumors about the evacuation of residents from Srashen, Shikahogh, and Tsav villages are not true. 'Yes, women and children have been evacuated from Nerkhin Hand, but not from Shikahogh, Srashen, and Tsav. Residents are present, and the men are armed,' noted Martirosyan.

It is worth reminding that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced in the National Assembly yesterday that Azerbaijan has occupied 10 square kilometers of territory from the sovereign territory of Armenia in recent days, while an additional 40 square kilometers were occupied by Azerbaijan in May 2021.
