VIDEO: Journalist Nane Israelian Spreads Fake News Used by Azerbaijani Media

Today, Nane Israelian, a journalist from the Ararat News media outlet, who has often been noted for provocations during protests, shared a photo claiming to be in Syunik, where she stated that there is no war, calling such claims fairy tales, as reported by Yerkir.am.

The photo clearly shows it was taken in Tavush, with the Joghaz reservoir and Gavazan mountain in the background, and has nothing to do with Goris or Syunik.

It turns out that the journalist did not go to Tavush to report that there is no war in Syunik; instead, the photo was taken back in late January 2021, during her time working at Yerevan Media. She had visited Tavush as part of the program “Main Issue,” and it was during that visit that the photo was taken, with the operator visible in the frame being Karen Baghdasaryan, a former operator of Yerevan Media.

Working at Ararat News, Nane has become the “star” of Azerbaijani media, all of which are eager to spread this misinformation while dismissing the resurgence of military operations in Syunik.
