VIDEO: I've Given the Army Whatever They Asked For; There’s a Criminal Case Because They Took the 10 Million I Gave Them, Says Pashinyan
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during a parliamentary Q&A session that there has never been a case where the army needed something and the government replied that there was no money. “They came to me and said that 15 billion is needed to ensure proper food for the army, and I said we will give it. They came and said that several hundred million dollars are needed to buy an airplane, and I said we will give it. They said that this much money is needed for purchasing shells, and I said we will give it. Now some people are being prosecuted under criminal cases because it turns out that the 10 million given was taken; they cleaned the dust off the shells that have been in their garage since '73 and brought them into the warehouses of the Ministry of Defense,” he said, noting that he does not want to violate the presumption of innocence.
