Putin and Erdogan Discuss Developments on Armenian-Azerbaijani Border

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan will discuss recent military actions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border during the SCO summit in Samarkand. This was reported by Reuters, citing a Turkish official.

“This issue will be discussed with Putin. Because it is clear the role of Russia and Turkey in stopping this war and in further joint efforts,” said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity. “Turkey has begun communications to overcome the existing issues between the two countries. It must be stopped before it escalates further.”

The meeting between Erdogan and Putin will take place on Friday in Uzbekistan during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.

“Turkey will continue to support Azerbaijan in every sense,” the official added.
