Enemy Uses Artillery Against Ishkhanasar Positions

From 2:00 AM on the night of September 14, the Azerbaijani side has been using artillery towards the positions of Ishkhanasar village in the Sisian community of the Syunik province. However, the shells and mines are landing in the nearby fields of Ishkhanasar mountain. This was reported to 24News by the administrative leader of the village, Marat Petrosyan.

According to him, the Azerbaijani fire is not reaching the village or civilian objects. “But they shoot less frequently, they reload, shoot for 10 minutes, then reload and shoot again,” Petrosyan stated.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia issued a statement that the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border has continued to remain tense on the night of September 13-14. “In particular, in the direction of Jermuk, the adversary has used strike drones. Although there were no significant incidents reported in the other directions of the aggression unleashed the previous day, starting from 8:00 AM today, the adversary, using artillery, mortars, and large-caliber firearms, has resumed offensive actions, particularly in the directions of Jermuk and Verin Shorzha. The Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia are taking adequate counteractions while continuing to fully carry out their assigned combat tasks,” the statement read.
